Welcome

Deck System

Hello Pirates,

With the upcoming update, the deck system will be added to the game. You can review the details about the deck system below.

Decks consist of 2 types. One is yellow decks and the other is blue decks. All decks are created in order. First, all decks must be yellow; once all decks are yellow, blue decks are then built in order.

Additionally, if you have the ship hull sold in the auction, a skull icon will appear on the decks.
If you have the extra damage buff obtained from the Port Royale map, a bone deck icon will appear around your decks.

A new pirate named Deckhand has been added on the small island at the top left of the Tortuga maps. To create decks, you can collect deck parts, go to the Deckhand, and use the deck parts to create decks. There are chance rates when creating decks. As a result of these chance rates, your deck parts may successfully turn into a deck, or the process may fail. Chance rates for yellow decks are 100%. That means there is no risk of your parts being destroyed while creating yellow decks, and yellow decks are built successfully every time. However, blue decks have chance rates. Players who wish can make the chance rate 100% in exchange for 500 pearls; this is entirely up to the player’s preference. If desired, players can also try to build decks using the chance rates provided by the game without spending pearls. The chance rates are shared below.

Deck parts can be collected in two ways. The first is by sinking player ships and earning battle points. While earning battle points, there is a 3% chance to obtain a deck part by the player who deals the final hit to the opponent’s ship. If you remember the puzzle event, the same method existed and the rate was 5% in the puzzle event. Additionally, this time, for a deck part to drop, both the player who sinks the ship and the player whose ship is sunk must be members of an alliance.

The second method is sinking NPC ships. Deck parts can be obtained from standard system ships (not large system ships like baron or dragon, but smaller system ships) on maps between 1/1 and 23/7. A system ship, when it spawns, has a 0.5% chance per every 3,000 total health points (this rate was 0.04% during the puzzle event) to spawn together with a deck piece. The player who deals the final blow to this system ship receives the deck piece from the ship.

#Is there bad luck protection?
Yes. There is no chance factor for yellow decks, the process always results in success. For blue decks, your chance rate increases by 10% with each failed upgrade. Additionally, after 3 failed upgrade attempts, the 4th upgrade will create the blue deck with a 100% chance.

#Why were different features added to decks instead of placing cannons on them?
It is true that placing cannons on decks is a feature found in other games, but in those games, as your cannon count increases, the amount of cannonballs you spend per shot and purchase with pearls also increases proportionally. Therefore, while the goal is to make players consume more cannonballs, they are also forced to increase all in-game values accordingly. For example, NPC health and tower health increase proportionally, and with 100 cannons you consume 100 cannonballs per shot, while with 500 cannons you lose 500 cannonballs per shot. In our game, however, all cannonballs—including fireworks purchased with gold and all other cannonballs—always decrease by 1 per shot. Therefore, due to these differences and reasons, instead of using decks to add more cannons, we aimed to slightly speed up the game by giving each deck different features.
